Today was a day for doing jobs. Refuelling and shopping. It was the Platinum jubilee weekend so the little town was buzzing with loads of people out and about eating, drinking and generally looking as though they were having a good time. We’re in Geordie country now and all the people on the marina were chatty and helpful. We went to Tesco express to re stock our cupboards and then had a little look around the town. There were lots of stalls and live music in the central square with bunting everywhere. We went into the sea centre which sells fresh fish but is also home to the lobster conservation project which we had no idea about. How interesting and good that it’s run alongside the fishing industry. We bought some fresh fish to go with the triple cooked chips we’d bought from Tesco’s! Julian did some jobs on the boat enjoying the afternoon of sunshine….. such a treat! Warmth from sun or people makes you feel so much better. We feel we should have gone to the local yacht club for a drink, but as it’s going to be a long day tomorrow we decided to watch the jubilee concert and celebrate on board. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
