Friday 8 July. Plymouth QAB to Cawsands bay. 7 nm

We started the day by welcoming the Hemisphere rigging guys. Even though we couldn’t get into Plymouth Yacht Haven, they were very flexible and happy to rib over to QAB. They did a complete check to make sure the rigging was perfectly tuned and took our main halyard away to repair it. They voomed up the mast with no effort 😳 Many Thanks guys! ! It took a couple of hours so once they’d gone, Julian and I were on a mission to the nearest supermarket in Plymouth. , we had to cross into the Barbican and do it and get back by 1200 when we have to vacate our berth! Getting more “premier inn” by the minute ! Found the coop….. bought our things…. trolleyed our wares across ancient cobbles…. and back to the boat. 1145 time to go! Hi We didn’t put the main up as we were only intending to go a few miles . we then crossed over to Plymouth yacht haven to fill up with diesel…. the boats had gone our racing so the pontoon was free. Once that was done It was pleasant to sail under headsail, tacking occasionally to get to our destination.Cawsands / Kingsands is a favourite anchorage in this area. The line that separates them, also separates Devon from Cornwall. The halfway House pub signifies the border! We anchored in the easy sandy bottom and settled down for an evening of sunshine and sunset……. what a treat. Even though there must be 50 boats here, it doesn’t feel crowded. We are so fortunate, in so many ways.

What I learned today…… NOT great idea to leave the plug in the sink whilst filling the water tanks. ☹️ means the water overflows into everything downside I.e the dry cupboard containing the bread, eggs, potatoes, fruit etc. ……. not so dry now 😭.

Of course I have to admit that’s been a past WILT ..,.. so even more humiliating 😣
