Lazy lovely waking. Secure safe and the sun is on the way . A few more yachts are arriving so needed to help sort lines etc. It’s a lovely thing about sailing that everyone helps everyone else. We all know that it’s not always easy. Some people ( quite a lot actually) are sailing single handed. I did a bit of hand washing since it’s sunny and put them on my drier. One bad thing that happened was a seagull had decided that our boat was the one to crap on…… it was everywhere 😳. ! …. as luck would have it , although I had left our bedroom hatch open… the SG had not managed to aim into it! Julian spent a good hour cleaning it all up. After we set off on a coastal path walk to st Abbs which was about 5 miles and took in amazing views in a cloudless blue sky. we walked past Coldingham bay where we had tried to anchor a couple of nights ago. It looked lovely but still a bit roly. Lots of families enjoying the sun and sea. A fabulous place. We enjoyed an ice cream on our walk and eventually ended up at st Abbs. What a fantastic little place. Tired though we didn’t spend much time there as the bus was due any minute for a return journey to Eyemouth. As I’ve said before, we do like s bus journey. Getting back we had a few more neighbors than when we left but no problem as they want to leave at the same time tomorrow.Boats raft up when there is not enough pontoon space. J had his small fish platter for supper, ( squid etc😩) before I cooked fresh plaice that I’d bought earlier.
What I learned today……. how to put a John Denver CD to good ( seagull prevention) use……..
