All set to go in the morning but weather not good with winds increased even in the harbour. So we stayed put . It seemed the thing we had to sort out was our problem with having enough data. Very 21 st century problem, just goes to show how we have come so much to rely on it. We use 4g to get weather forecasts , when there is no WiFi, and there’s no Wifi most of the time . Definitely something we should have sorted out before leaving Shrewsbury and will be going in the Yachting Monthly article! Walked up a bit hopefully to the post office but in vain. Good excuse though to have a delicious bowl of soup at the Periowall hotel for lunch. J spent the afternoon on the phone to BT snd sorted out some SIM cards for us. But they have to be posted… not quite sure where too? 🤔 It does mean I may not be able to write the blog until we get them ! Atm writing in Pierowall Hotel with good Wifi, but once we have left, who knows when we’ll get it again! Anyway we had a nice evening, Jacob, the assistant Harbour Master came round and we had a good chat about all sorts. The people here are so friendly and kind. Our plan is to leave tomorrow morning for Eday island . Sausages for supper and realised how naff terrestrial tv is when you have no access to catch up!
What I have learned today….. that maybe I should change the title to “ What needs fixing today “!
