We had showers and paid our dues in the harbour office. A typical Scottish house on the front. Lots of info in there about local stuff, bus timetables etc. Next time here I’d like to do a round Islay bus trip. We set off heading for Gigha and got there late afternoon. A lot of the moorings in Ardminish bay don’t have strops and pick up buoys. Presumably due to lack of maintenance rather than deliberate choice. Unfortunately this fact contributed to an unpleasant incident where we were accused of driving a boat off a mooring. Of course there are always two sides to every disagreement but unpleasantness is in my world always very upsetting.
However we did have a very nice meal at the boathouse . I think I had scallops followed by the halibut… again! Sue x
