A sultry morning in puilladobhrain ( pronounced Pulldorran) I went for another row around. As it was so still the water surface looked a bit scummy. I took the plumbline with me so I could measure some of the depths around the anchorage…. for future information when anchoring here. It was high tide and more or less a spring tide, so have to take that into account. If we had managed to download the Antares charts we would have that information of course!! Maybe we’ll be able to do it in Oban. I stopped and chatted to our friends on Blue Mistral. They told me that the little boat on the other side of us was indeed the famous “Dodo’s delight”. She has been all over the world and been on many an intrepid voyage! Worth checking her out on google/ you tube.
We set off the few miles up Kerrera sound towards Oban. No wind to speak of so we motored the whole way. The little transit marina is only for visiting boats and we were pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t busy. We chose s nice “starboard to“ berth and nice to be attached to something solid once again! Our friends Nigel and Brenda popped over to see us from dunstaffnage early afternoon and we had coffee before they had to go and fly off home! We then made our way to Tesco’s armed with a large shopping list, bags , the new trolley, string and the empty gaz canister. Couldn’t get the gaz but did manage to get our load back to the boat without the trolley breaking!!! In the evening Julian’s freind Fred ( from Shrewsbury)and crew mates, were coincidentally on a boat in Oban too and they kindly invited us for dinner…. delicious Roast beef and couscous followed by cheese and biscuits. Many thanks all aboard Kestrel!
What I learned today…… maybe I should try doing a roast in our oven! I’d never even thought it possible on a boat!!

Trusty trolley!
Made it….
