It’s always cosy lying awake listening to the whizzing of Trixi our windmill… especially if you know you don’t have to go out in it in a few hours. Was thinking about my challenge this morning of driving to Kilmarnock, finding the Nationwide in order to get the document for Alice that she needs for her house purchase. Set off about 830 ish and children still fast asleep so left grandpa in charge of breakfast 😋
Thanks to sat nav, arrived at or rather drove past destination without any trouble. Then had to find somewhere to park and retrace my steps. Found on street parking with surprisingly simple pay and display. ( seem that most these days require a phD to work out) such a friendly little branch! They knew their regular customers by their first names and could not have been more helpful. Got my letter and made way back to Troon.
Bit sultry but light winds and everyone keen to go for a little sail. Isla and Alby look lovely in their little decathlon jackets! Did s small circuit around Lady Isle just south of Troon but nowhere this side of 15 miles otherwise to go around here.
When we got back the family went to Dundonald castle for a bit of a runaround and we joined them before going to Morrison’s yet again for stuff for supper. Gonna do our special boat chicken with spuds and peas. Seemed to go down well ! We played the category game again which is good as it includes everyone even Little Alby who likes calling out the letters which I help him with. Tomorrow Julian has a date at 9 am with someone to help fix his computer 🤞🤞🤞🤞fingers crossed.
What I learned today:
That my wing mirrors automatically dip themselves to the curb whilst reversing and then revert in normal drive mode. I had kept altering them when they did it so then they were pointing skyward and couldn’t see a thing!! Silly.
