Woke up to sunshine! Poking my nose out of the hatch in our cabin, It felt chilly outside….. definitely autumnal . Maybe that was just because I was about to set off home…. the final leg of my trip. Had my last cup of tea in bed ( kindly delivered by J)before addressing what I needed to pack. I took only the minimum home in my rucksack along with my packed lunch .. and mask for the train! I wasn’t looking forward to wearing that for nearly 6 hours. I feel for everyone having to wear them all the time. Once breakfast was over, the packing and sorting done… I took a cuppa up to the front of the boat and sat on the dinghy for a while …. talking to Angelique and thanking her for a wonderful journey and for keeping us safe throughout. Some sailors in a boat opposite on the pontoon obviously thought me slightly bonkers and asked me if I had coffee or rum in my mug! In the nicest possible way!
Julian walked me to the station at Troon and we said our farewells …. for 2 weeks. He’s got some mates joining him for the next 10 days or so ….. hopefully they’ll have fair winds and good weather.

For Robbie…. a last glimpse of Ailsa Craig!
Thanks to everyone for joining us on our way. For all your messages, support and kind words. It’s been great sharing such an amazing time.
