Today we woke late. Despite it having been blowing a hooly still ,as we finally went to bed,we had an incredibly peaceful night. as we only had 15 miles to Gigha, we didn’t have to rush which was lovely . Read a bit and looked at forecasts etc. Finally got the anchor up ( with the usual tonne of seaweed attached) at about 2 pm and made our way out of the loch. It was noticeable that none of the 15 visitors moorings were taken, and we were the only boat at anchor . The problem being that if this continues, they just won’t service the moorings at all. Bit sad. Suppose we’ll have to see how it all goes over the next few months. We also noticed that some kind fisherman had laid his lobster pots, right on the middle of the channel in/out of the harbour. Just as well it was not last night! We could still be attached! 😳 we arrived at Ardminish intending to anchor but a few other boats were already there making the space available for swinging a bit tight. So instead picked up a mooring and attached ropes with my yellow tool! Since there wasn’t a good strop on it. Once sorted I had a lovely catch up with my uni friends on zoom, before ( my turn ) to cook. Took lots of pictures of the beautiful sunset and trying not to get anxious about going round the mull of kintyre tomorrow! Sue x
